The aim of the survey is firstly to explore the extent to which widening participation practitioners write for publication. Secondly, to better understand the barriers and challenges practitioners face when they are motivated to write for publication; and thirdly the support strategies, which enable them to do so. Findings from the survey will be used to inform the development of strategies and initiatives to meet the need of practitioners who are motivated to write for publication.

Findings from the study will be disseminated at a range of events, including academic conferences, practitioner forums and journal articles.

The survey comprises five sections and 28 questions. The majority of questions are fixed response to which you will be asked to provide a single or multiple responses. Some questions also include a free text box for further comments. Depending on your responses the survey will take between 10-15 minutes to complete. Your responses will be anonymised and all data will be kept securely and confidentially.
